Der wurde vor Jahren verkauft, der damalige Besitzer, JL's bodyguard, hat ihn von Jack Lord zum Abschied 1980 erhalten.. Ah, das war mir neu, dass der Bodyguard den Wagen von Jack geschenk bekommen hatte. Es könnte der Wagen dennoch gewesen sein, da dieser wohl nur in der Pilotfolge auftaucht, so dass er für die Szenen zur verfügung gestellt wurde - hatte ja nichts abbekommen, ausser in der Garage zu stehen :D Titel: Re: Jack Lords alter Mercury als Gaststar im Pilotfilm Beitrag von: twinsonic am 15. Tonight's 'Hawaii Five-O' includes original's Mercury Marquis When the new Hawaii Five-O premieres on CBS tonight (10 p.m. ET/PT), the new Steve McGarrett dusts off his dad's old 1974 Mercury Marquis. And it just so happens that the sedan was the one used in the original series. Cars played a big role in the 1970s original, with Jack Lord wheeling around Oahu as he played out his character as crime-cracking head of an elite state police unit in Hawaii. The new Steve McGarrett, played by Alex O'Loughlin, is a Navy vet whose father was murdered. That's him in the photos, peering at the vintage Mercury. "There are a lot of things in the new show that pay homage to the original. It was a great show of its time, (but) it's 2010," O'Loughlin told USA TODAY's Bill Keveney. After the original Hawaii Five-O ended, the black Marquis was later given to a stunt man, John Nordlum, the Honolulu Advertiser reported in April. The car was lead character and was McGarrett's second, after an earlier black 1968 Mercury Parklane Brougham. Producers borrowed the newer car for the new series.
