Der Rechtsanwalt Tom Brewster wird von den Cowboys abschätzig "Sugarfoot" genannt, da er immer wieder Probleme hat, sein Leben im Wilden Westen zu meistern. Statt mit einem Revolver kämpft er lieber mit Worten und einem Lasso. Im Saloon trinkt er statt Whiskey Root Beer.
