L'Oreal Signs Kyan Douglas as New Spokesperson

NEW YORK, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- L'Oreal announces the signing of an exclusive worldwide contract with beauty authority and Emmy Award winner Kyan Douglas of television's hit series "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" as a spokesperson and consultant for the company and its brands. In a modern and innovative move for the beauty industry, Douglas will become L'Oreal's first spokesperson for all categories: cosmetics, skincare and hair products for both women and men. In his new role, Douglas will advise and educate consumers and will also consult on new product development.

Douglas gained nationwide fame as the "Grooming Guru" of the "Fab Five," the men who dispense up-to-the-minute fashion and styling advice on the television series "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy." A specialist in men's skin care, Douglas received his certification in cosmetology from the Aveda Institute New York and worked as a colorist at the Arrojo Studio in New York City. He has also worked as a colorist for television programs, including The Learning Channel's "What Not To Wear" and "While You Were Out" and for magazines such as Child. His first book, "Beautified," will be published later this month.
