Das steht zu "Cannon" auf
www.tvshowsondvd.com Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) is well-known in North America for TV-DVD releases (in both the USA and Canada) of some highly acclaimed television shows, including Cagney & Lacey, The Equalizer, Nash Bridges, Hell's Kitchen, Diagnosis Murder, McMillan and Wife, In Search Of..., The Mod Squad, John Byner's Bizarre, (Chef Gordon) Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and many more. Now the Toronto-based studio is announcing that in the 3rd and 4th Quarters of 2015 they are releasing a huge slate of new TV-DVDs, and one of the classic television programs included in that slate will be Cannon: This critically acclaimed series stars William Conrad as private investigator "Big" Frank Cannon and was a fan favorite for five full, action packed seasons. Cannon, the overweight, balding ex-cop may not be fast on his feet anymore but he has no trouble chasing down those on the dark side of the law. This show is just ONE item taken from a very impressive list of 12 named shows (see our eleven other news posts today for those items). NOTE that specific release dates have NOT BEEN SET so far...nor do we have details or package art at this time, either; just the heads-up to expect this release during the second half of the year. Also, VEI's president, Jeff Sprigg, notes that there are "Many More Releases Coming!"
Between 2008 and 2013, CBS/Paramount released five sets that make up the first 3 Seasons of the show, which lasted for 5 seasons overall. The program starred William Conrad, an actor also known on TV for his starring turns in Jake and the Fatman and Nero Wolfe, and narrator for shows such as The Fugitive, The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, How the West was Won, Tales of the Unexpected and Manimal. As this show kind-of spun-off Barnaby Jones, it's no surprise that guest stars during the program's 4th and 5th season run include Buddy Ebsen (Barnaby Jones, The Beverly Hillbillies, Matt Houston) and Lee Meriwether (Barnaby Jones, Batman, Star Trek, The Time Tunnel).
Look in those seasons for loads of other guest stars, including Star Trek's "Yeoman Janice Rand," Grace Lee Whitney (who passed away this last weekend), as well as David Soul, Robert Loggia, Edward James Olmos, Pat Morita, Peter Strauss, James Keach, Joan Van Ark, James Sikking, Conrad Janis, Tom Skerritt, Dabbs Greer, Noble Willingham, Joe E. Tata, Michael Tolan, John Vernon, Russell Johnson, Harold Gould, Lee Purcell, Priscilla Pointer, Abe Vigoda, Charles Durning, Donna Mills, Frank Bonner, Leslie Nielsen, Sondra Locke, Vera Miles, James Hong, Vic Tayback, Tina Louise, Dean Stockwell, Morgan Woodward, Carl Weathers, Charles Robinson, Joan Fontaine, Richard Hatch, Dana Elcar, Norman Fell, Tim O'Connor, Pernell Roberts, Robert Pine, Dabney Coleman, Ralph Bellamy, Gary Lockwood, Richard Dysart, Robert Hays, and Priscilla Barnes.
