Original air date: 2/17/71 A talky and confusing show as Vera Miles as Flora Whiting gets McGarrett to reopen a case which sent her husband to jail. There are some good quotes. McGarrett: "My job is to dig out the truth ... wherever it lies, wherever it's buried"; "Check every hotel, motel and flophouse in the city"; "You've gotta be a lawyer to be a cop today, Danno." Dub Taylor does a brief part in the teaser as Ray Tobias. Some of the minor character names in the end titles are arranged like the guest stars. The shot where McGarrett arrives and enters the prison is cribbed from an earlier episode. --------------------------------------------------- Fred Whiting war bereit, fr den Senatorenposten zu kandidieren - und nun sitzt er stattdessen im Gefngnis. Whiting wird angeklagt, seine Geliebte Betty Anders ermordet zu haben. Whrend alles gegen ihn spricht, glaubt Whitings Frau Flora nach wie vor an die Unschuld ihres Mannes. Schlielich versucht sie sogar ein krummes Ding, um ihren Fred zu entlasten. Aber sie hat nicht mit der Cleverness und Routine McGarretts gerechnet. Es sieht schlecht aus fr Whiting. |
