Hier die englischen Texte aller 13 Folgen, für die Robert Urich Fanpage:

Episode 1:

- Meet Paul Walker and his splendidly restored mahogany runabout, Leading Lady, as they take part in a picturesque rendezvous of dozens of classic craft on the scenic waters of Lake Tahoe, California.

- John Van Duyne and his son Tom build lifesaving boats that are used exclusively by lifeguards on both coasts. It is summertime again at the New Jersey resort beaches and the Long Port Beach Patrol is practicing boathandling techniques in the surf.

- Join two families from the Leech Lake Reservation in Minnesota as they fill their canoes with a bountiful harvest of wild rice, employing ancestral methods that demonstrate the rituals and offerings accompanying this yearly rite.

Episode 2

- A small group of pioneers rides north through Alaska's breathtaking Inside Passage aboard personal watercraft specially modified for long–distance travel. We join them in Ketchikan, Alaska, for a trip to a remote fishing lodge in Yes Bay, pausing along the way to view a breath–taking waterfall.

- Stop in on Iben Gannt, a bridge tender who operates the Spa Creek drawbridge in Annapolis, Maryland, overlooking the United States Naval Academy. Iben shows us how he operates the massive machinery and relates what boaters should know when approaching any bridge.

- Spend part of a pleasant afternoon cruising a Chesapeake tributary with Quick and Dottie Carlson aboard their 23-foot picnic launch, Wind in the Willows, which is powered by a wood-burning steam engine.

Episode 3

- Captain Rolly B. Gray has sailed his 28-foot Class A Bahamian sloop, Tida Wave, to victory so consistently that he is known throughout the Bahamas simply as "The Grand Master." Captain Rolly exudes pure confidence as he takes us along for the ride in this year's Family Islands Regatta at George Town.

- Captain Victoria Rose Impallomeni pilots her 24-foot center console runabout through the islands and shoals off Key West as she relates details about the delicate balance of life in the mangroves.

- Keith Beken and son Kenneth Beken are among the world's best known and most successful marine photographers. We join them for a photo shoot on the Solent for a special insight to their work, including images of several of the world's most memorable historic yachts.

Episode 4

- Arne Brun Lie and his daughters construct an 8-foot nutshell pram from a stack of lumber and then we share the excitement when Siv and Cecilia take their new boat Sunflower for her maiden sail in Maine.

- Since 1918, Palmer Johnson has constructed luxurious and elaborate yachts for clients all over the world. Project Manager Dan Shea takes us on a tour of a 142foot, 12 million dollar luxury yacht nearing completion at their yard, located in the unlikely place of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Episode 5

- Terry Maas, a breathhold diver in the Channel Islands off Ventura, California demonstrates the techniques he employs to gather his remarkable undersea photographs. Without the bubbles of scuba gear to frighten the fish, he captures images of rarely seen species.

- Shoot the rapids at the Ocoee River Whitewater Rodeo near Chattanooga, Tennessee, as 200 entrants try to out-maneuver one another in kayaks and canoes on a short course of boiling whitewater.

- We're off to see the "Wizard of Zenda," as the legendary Harry C. "Buddy" Melges, Jr. competes in the E-Scow nationals on his home waters of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Buddy shares some of his racing tactics along with stories about how his father founded the now-thriving Melges Boat Works in the middle of a cornfield.

Episode 6

- Suzy Nairn was a crew member aboard Mighty Mary in the 1995 America's Cup women's campaign. Join Suzy and her crew mates aboard a powerful One Design 48 as they show us what it takes to handle a big boat in a tough race on San Francisco Bay.

- Take the plunge with a group of first time submariners as they explore the colorful reefs off Honolulu, Hawaii aboard a 48-passenger submersible.

- Ned McCall makes his living by helping the captains of large ships pilot their vessels around the shoals of the Chesapeake Bay. We join him as he boards a 918 foot coal carrier and watch from the wheelhouse as he navigates the Bay and shares valuable knowledge about small-boat safety among big commercial traffic.

Episode 7

- With uncanny grace, local sport fisherman Garth Thompson shows us the art of catching the prized and elusive bone fish with a fly rod while poling across Rolletown Flats in the Bahamas.

- A fleet of dugout sailing canoes is still kept in fine shape and actively raced by a group of Chesapeake log canoe enthusiasts. Step aboard carefully for an invigorating race and informative interviews about the past and present of these unstable, yet graceful craft.

- Every year Benjamin Mendlowitz publishes his Wooden Boat Calendar; it's a favorite holiday gift among classic yacht enthusiasts and folks who just enjoy his unique gift of imagery. Come aboard with Benji as he photographs a wooden boat regatta in Maine.

Episode 8

- Spend a day in the life of a Maine lobsterman as he works from dawn to dusk aboard his cherished lobster boat, Jamie K. Skipper Robert Williams, a gregarious downeaster, demonstrates the art of trapping the big crustaceans`while piloting his vessel through the tricky waters along Maine's rocky coast.

- Sixty-nine-year-old Captain Giffy Full of Brooklin, Maine, crawls through every cabin and locker of a 1963 Knutson K-35 cruising yawl, as he shares a great deal of what he's learned over his five decades of surveying wooden boats.

Episode 9

- WHEELER'S MAGIC Wheeler Baker of Kent Island, Maryland holds elected office in the state legislature and two world speed records aboard hydroplanes. Squeeze into the cockpit with Wheeler at the Kent Narrows races as he wins another one for his hometown fans.

- Once commissioned as a presidential yacht, the Sequoia now sits anchored outside of Washington, D.C. as a tourist attraction. On a rare cruise on the Chesapeake Bay, the Sequoia's rich history and turn–of–the– century elegance is revealed.

- Join a fleet of classic Bristol Pilot Cutters kept alive and sailing in Bristol Channel between Wales and southwest England through the meticulous care and maintenance of their dedicated owners. Tony Winter, owner of the magnificent 60-foot cutter "Mascot" shows us the true meaning of Bristol fashion.

- Jim and Dianne Whittaker are preparing to sail the world with their two teenage sons aboard their 53-foot steel pilot house ketch. Jim and Diane let us look in as they make the final modifications to the "Impossible". They also welcome us into their majestic oceanfront log home (which they've sold to finance the voyage) where they tell us why they were willing to give it all up to set sail on a global adventure

Episode 11

- Herb Hilgenberg is an amateur meteorologist with a license to broadcast over single band radios. Herb runs a volunteer weather radio station called Southbound 2 near Toronto, Canada. Seasoned blue water passage makers have come to depend on Herb's highly accurate weather reports more than any other weather service on the air.

- Boatworks producer Stephen Reverand and cameraman Paul VanderVeen volunteer to crew aboard the 95 foot sloop "Valkyrie" as it makes a blue water passage from Annapolis to Bermuda. The landfall among Bermuda's reefs provides important lessons in piloting and navigation.

- In Boston's Public Gardens, the Swan boats have been carrying tourists across the small pond there since the late nineteenth century. Take a ride with a swan boat paddler and enjoy a spring day the way Bostonians once did at the turn of the century.

In Ordnung. fröhlich
