Three wheeler-dealer types all die horrible, mysterious deaths. The first of them is the faggy Ralph Mingo (Jay Robinson, who played the emperor Caligula in the film Demetrius and the Gladiators), the second is the arrogant stud Fred Akamai Loy (Ray Danton) and the third is the shifty Wallis (Jason Evers). The party during the teaser where Mingo gets knocked off is attended by "con men, grifters, pimps, and assorted playmates" according to Danno. Zoulou keeps staring at Mingo's fish and Danno asks him if there is some "deep Hawaiian symbolism" involved. Wallis calls Kono a "big kahuna" and says, "You're crazy out of your Kanaka head." The "weapon" turns out to be an extremely toxic shellfish (same name as the title of the episode) with which Jack Manoa (William Valentine), seen as servant to the threesome, knocked them off because they corrupted his daughter ("your filth became her filth") with drugs. A video tape machine which the three used to film her making home-made porno is seen. Wallis says to Danno, "Some like to play, some like to watch" and comments if he showed some of the tapes, "you'd probably have me pinched for pornography." Yankee Chang plays the cook. A surprise ending where McGarrett steps in after Danno has done most of the work! A couple of real dates are seen -- the tag on Mingo's body says 8/3/71 and a threatening card says Akamai's birth date is July 6, 1929 and that he will die on September 10th. One of Zoulou's favorite episodes.

McGarrett und seine Mnner von "Hawaii 5 - 0" ermitteln in einem uerst ungewhnlichen Fall: Zuerst stirbt der hchst dubiose Grundstcksmakler Ralph Mingo an einem geheimnisvollen Gift, wenig spter folgen ihm auch seine beiden Partner. Die Experten sind zunchst ratlos, was die Kategorisierung des Giftes betrifft. Aber dann werden Danny und Kono im Institut fr Meeresbiologie fndig: Wie es aussieht, ist das Tatwerkzeug eine tdliche Meeresschnecke gewesen.
